BMI songwriter Frank Myers performs in Songs from the Sand virtual concert series April 21
What: The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB), iHeartMedia and Cat Country 107.1 welcome Frank Myers to the Songs from the Sand virtual concert series at Beacon Social Drinkery at the Luminary Hotel & Co. in downtown Fort Myers. The privately recorded event, hosted by VCB Communications Manager Miriam Dotson will feature Myers’ music and stories behind the songs.
Who: Frank Myers, Grammy award-winning, BMI singer-songwriter known for writing dozens of country and pop hits including, “I Swear,” performed by John Michael Montgomery and All-4-One. He is also behind the Lonestar hits, “I’m Already There” and “My Front Porch Looking In.” Boasting a music career spanning 40 years, Myers has written for more than 50 artists from Kenny Loggins to Tanya Tucker to Alabama.

Why: Songs from the Sand features singer-songwriters who will be performing at Island Hopper Songwriter Fest from Sept. 16-25 on Captiva Island, historic downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. For now, Songs from the Sand and Songs from the Sofa give music fans an exciting and safe way to experience a quality performance in your own home.
Background: Songs from the Sofa debuted in May 2020 with music sensation Sam James. The monthly live performances have included Jay Allen, Maia Sharp, Dave Pahanish, Ben Allen, Clint Daniels, Parmalee, Danny Myrick, Bridget Tatum, Hannah Ellis, Julia Cole, Ruthie Collins, Kristen Kelly and Hailey Steele. Songs from the Sand debuted in February 2021 with local favorite and Island Hopper alum Sheena Brook at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach. In May, Devin Dawson performed at DiamondHead Beach Resort. Sheena Brook made another appearance with Angie K at Pinchers at The Marina at Edison Ford in August. Songs from the Sand gives music lovers a chance to see the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas of Southwest Florida.
